Domaine L'Ostal Cazes
Halfway between the medieval city of Carcassonne and the old Roman port of Narbonne, the Domaine L’Ostal Cazes within the appellation Minervois la Livinière, lies at the foot of the Montagne Noire in a magnificent region, the cradle of grand terroirs.
The estate derives its name from the term “ostal” stemming from the old “Langue d’oc” (Occitan), which means both “house” and the “family group” living in it.
Built right up the steep and sunny slopes of the “Petit Causse, the estate covers 150 hectares, 60 planted with vines and 25 with olive trees.
At the heart of unspoilt nature where the ideal geological and climatic advantages combine, the vineyard receives the most attentive care.
The modern and efficient technical facilities have been installed in a former tile factory dating from the nineteenth century.
The wines produced by the estate: Domaine L’Ostal Cazes - Grand Vin and Domaine L’Ostal Cazes - Estibals illustrate the full richness and strength of their mediterranean terroirs.
