The Prix Lavinal
Since 2007, the Prix Lavinal, Printemps des lecteurs (Lavinal Springtime Readers Prize), has been organised at Village de Bages in partnership with the Bordeaux bookseller Mollat, France 3 Aquitaine and the Sud-Ouest newspaper. Its aim is to vote on a work by an as yet unknown French or Francophone author, chosen from a selection of works released over the winter. The deliberations take place over the month of May.
The jury is made up of a representative from each partner and from representatives from the readers, who enter the result of the vote from the ballots placed at public ballot boxes at the Librairie Mollat bookshops and in the Village.
