EXHIBITION OF THE ARTIST EMILIO PEREZ | 04/05/2012
Beginning in May through 31 October, Lynch-Bages will be offering its visitors a selection of important works by the artist Emilio Perez, lent by Galerie Lelong to be exhibited in the spectacular old vat-room. Born in New York in 1972, this artist, painter and designer has had solo exhibitions in New York's Galerie Lelong since 2007. His work has recently been shown in Dusseldorf, Philadelphia, Houston and Saint Louis. His paintings are on display in the collections of the Miami Art Museum, Albright-Knox Art Gallery and the Arkansas Center in Little Rock.
The paintings of Emilio Perez are characterized by their passion and their whirlwind of colour. The artist likes to say that his work is influenced by the rythm of the music he regularly listens to as he works, and the sound of the seashore.
